FloGas
Hi
Has anyone else had the nice new letter from Flogas saying they are going to to impose a 2p extra per litre of LPG by 9th November? They do not say how much my LPG is a litre at the moment (probably on purpose I should think). So if you want save a few quid and are tied in (like me until Oct 2010) then order quick. Can't wait until I can show them 2 fingers! Whats Callow Gas shaping up like ?

Parish Council
Always important to keep the parish council informed. Old fashioned letters are best. Well done Mr Grumpy!

Playing Field
Took Pip over tonight for a run round and found: the metal post designed to keep vehicles off the field broken; huge muddy wheel ruts; lots of broken branches where someone has backed their car (dare I volunteer a Berlingo?) into the hedge; a discarded car mat; half the small goal post metal support lying in the field and litter. I feel a letter to the Parish Council coming on!
Mr Grumpy
Too true
As I understand they do pay to use the hall while they are camoing so there is some revenue to the community association. However, they do try to dominate the park. I have heard from several people about how rude they are to residents walking their dogs in their park. I think perhaps they are just intolerant to anyone who doesn't share their love of dog training!!!
It is also OK to be Grumpy!

Playing Field
Not wanting to sound intolerant but is anyone else getting fed up with the CONSTANT presence of the Dog People on the Jubilee Hall playing field? It is a pain when I try to walk Pip as she wants to go and say hello all the time and I have to keep her on a lead etc. Are these people from the village? Do they pay to use the field? Am I just too grumpy?

Getting it Going
Hi All,
I decided to set up this blog for all in and around Childs Ercall. It has come about because of Flogas. The regulations changed in April about the supply of LPG gas and it was immediately apparent that Flogas had managed to charge most people on our estate (Steppes and Kenfields) different rates based on what they thought they could get away with. This was possible because we don't talk to our neighbours enough. Busy lives etc. The net result of this (talking to our neighbours) is those of us who are lucky enough not to be in contract have been able to negotiate a better deal with Callow Gas. I will post again when it is complete.
Hopefully with this blog we can keep each other informed about all sorts of stuff and perhaps make rural living more fun, economical and informed.
It is up to everyone to post what they like provided it is of local interest.Perhaps a local service which can be used locally, a window cleaner who is reliable, good plumbers, electricians etc. Local events ? It is public blog so please be polite. Get involved.
Good blogging
Cheers
Peter
